Our Collection
Book and eBook Collection

The library holds print and electronic books reflecting the research and instructional needs of students and faculty. The book collection is composed of circulation materials, reference collection, IMRC curriculum materials and other auxiliary holdings supporting the masters and doctorate programs in business, education, health, religion, and theology.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Collection

The collection include books that aims to develop the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills of students of which English is their second language. There are short story books, encyclopedias, books of facts, and many more.

Heritage Collection

A substantial part of the Heritage collection is the personal collection of Leslie Hardinge, first president of AIIAS and to whom the library was named after, made the donation to the library in 1981. This collection is composed of rare materials and Adventist heritage titles that the library is fortunate to have.

Periodical Collection

The collection is the home for old and current issues of print journal subscription of the library. It includes professional and devotional titles of approximately two hundred title subscription.

Special Collection

Graduate level and popular books written in Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and other foreign language compose this collection. Students may access these titles for in-house use only.

Instructional Media and Resource Collection

The Instructional Media Resource Center (IMRC) has a growing number of multimedia titles and is continuously developing its collection of practical resources for teachers in the areas of education, health, business, theology, and religion. The curriculum materials provide information for teachers in K-12 and tertiary institutions on classroom activities, course designs, sample text books, resources, and sample manipulative.

Online Databases

The library subscribes to three powerful aggregators such as EBSCO, ProQuest and JSTOR providing library patrons with an online access to over 8, 000 full text journals. Some databases are multi-disciplinary catering to the needs of both Graduate School and Seminary. Others are specialized databases supporting individualized discipline.

Asian Studies Collection

An expanding specialized collection which aimed at becoming the premier resource center of Asian Studies. The collection includes materials related to the religious, educational, financial, health, cultural, political, and national aspects of the countries and peoples of Asia.

Adventist Asia (CARA)

Promotes documentary research in the areas of history, theology and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Being a White Estate Branch, the collection includes all the writings of Ellen G. White, works and studies related to Ellen White, and researches on Adventist Studies.
