English Center Resources

The library supports the English Center with various facilities and resources found in the Leslie Harding Library.

1. Listening Room of the IMRC provides a place where a student can use an audio and video by themselves or with a friend.
2. Viewing Room of the IMRC accommodates a group to watch a video.
3. ESL Book Collection. The library has a collection of ESL books at the second floor, at the east end of the reference section. Library patrons can borrow in two weeks time and can be renewed for another two weeks.
4. Media Collection. The library has a collection of CDs, DVDs, VHS, and audios chosen for students who are learning English. Ask for IMRC worker’s help to choose the media suited to your level.

- English Listening Lesson Library Online - Features listening activities that will help the students learn English in a natural way. Activities include multimedia, free MP3 files, vocabulary tasks, language notes, print page and many others.

- Fonetiks - An online pronunciation guides to 9 varieties of the English language and 9 other languages. The student has a chance to choose his accent.

- Teaching English - The site provides free classroom materials to download, from short activities to full lesson plans, for teaching kids and adults. There are also articles on aspects of teaching, and free teacher development and teacher training materials
