Created in June 22, 2012 during the 32nd Annual Conference of the Association of Seventh-day Adventist Librarians (ASDAL) at Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in Silang, Cavite, Philippines, the ASDAL Asia Chapter is targeted to grow in the years to come.
ASDAL Asia is one of several chapters of ASDAL which upholds the constitution and bylaws of its mother association.

ASDAL Asia Objectives

  1. Enhance communication between Seventh-day Adventist librarians
  2. Serve as a forum for discussion of mutual problems and professional concerns of Seventh-day Adventist librarians
  3. Promote librarianship and library services in Seventh-day Adventist institutions
  4. Uphold the principles of Seventh-day Adventist librarianship
Chapter Membership
Any person working in or from Asia who are interested in Seventh-day Adventist librarianship, media services, information science or archive management.

  2. Personal Profile Gathering. To get basic information among members and prospective members for future plans of the Chapter.

  • Adopt-a-Library Program. Started in 2014, AIIAS Librarians go out to organize school libraries in the areas of Luzon. They classified and labeled the books for easy access of the students.
