Reference Services
Library patrons are given the opportunity to seek librarians help for resources and other research needs through reference services. The reference librarian accommodates patrons' inquiries and facilitates the following services:
Virtual Help

Library patrons both on-campus and off-campus can reach the us through the library website, using chat box, Facebook, or even send research inquiries to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Bibliographic Verification

Library patrons may personally approach the reference librarian at the help desk at the main lobby of the library and verify bibliographic information they found in journals and books.
Current Awareness Services

Library news and updates are circulated using e-board, library website, Facebook, and mailing lists. New acquisitions are being posted and library seminars are regularly conducted.
Library Orientation

New faculty members and students are given library orientation for them to have a general background of library sections, resources, and services. Faculty may request this service but normally, the librarians make an appointment with them. Students on the other hand are given this service at the beginning of each term.
Library Seminar and Workshops

The library regularly holds seminars and workshops covering different topics with the goal of equipping our library patrons in their research process.  Among those are Mendeley, Evernote, APA/Turabian formatting, finding theses and dissertations, and many others.
Library Instruction

Librarians regularly host library instruction sessions with research classes, where comprehensive instruction about the collection and services of the library is presented. The librarians also answer questions and accept suggestions for the library. Librarians also offer group or individual instruction as per request by the students. Library Tutorials

The library offers individual tutorial about the use of library resources and seminar/workshop topics. You may send a tutorial request to the reference librarian. Online tutorials are also available in the library website. Off campus students may avail this service. On-campus students may also check the tutorial booth at library lobby.
Inter-library Loan & Referral

Inter-library Loan is an extended service from other libraries providing hard-to-find materials to our researchers. Patrons may give their inter-library loan request to the reference librarian on duty. Students may also ask for referral letter for their interest to do research in nearby universities and research libraries.
